  • Identity Verification
    Verifying a candidate’s identity is essential to our screening process. We require original identification documents, which are reviewed in person and authenticated using advanced electronic scanning technology. This verification aligns with NHS Employers standards and the DBS Code of Conduct. Any discrepancies are managed through a structured escalation protocol to maintain our commitment to security.

 

  • Right to Work in the UK
    Fond Health Care adheres to UK immigration regulations, requiring candidates to provide valid proof of their eligibility to work under the Immigration, Asylum, and Nationality Act 2006. We verify and securely store this documentation, ensuring compliance with Home Office guidelines. Follow-up checks are conducted when necessary for candidates with time-limited or restricted work status.

 

  • Criminal Record Checks
    Ensuring the safety of our clients is a top priority. We conduct comprehensive criminal record checks, preventing unsuitable candidates from working with vulnerable populations. Depending on the candidate’s location and role, we may conduct:
    - Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks (England, Wales, Scotland)
    - Access NI checks (Northern Ireland)

 

  • Employment History and References
    To gain a full understanding of each candidate’s background, we verify a minimum of three years of continuous employment, training, or relevant experience. All references must be obtained from verified business sources to ensure credibility.
  • Professional registration and qualification checks
    During our hiring process, we ensure that candidates are equipped with the right skills and knowledge for the position they've applied for. We achieve this by conducting several assessments, including:

    - A comprehensive interview with our clinical team
    - An evaluation of specific skill sets
    - Basic literacy and math skill assessments
    - Verification of necessary qualifications and certificates
    - Checks against regulatory bodies, including HPAN alerts and any relevant notifications

 

  • Work Health Assessments
    Health assessments are conducted to ensure each applicant meets the physical and mental requirements of their role. Partnering with SEQOSH, an accredited occupational health provider, we perform comprehensive assessments in line with Public Health England guidelines and the Department of Health’s vaccination standards. Assessments are completed before placement and are reviewed regularly.

 

  • Mandatory Training
    All candidates are required to demonstrate proficiency in essential areas, including Resuscitation, Health and Safety, Infection Control, Safeguarding, and other key competencies. Training requirements are customized to align with each role’s specific needs, ensuring every member of our team is well-equipped to provide safe, high-quality care.
