About the service

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care is specialised medical support intended to improve the quality of life for those with serious illnesses like cancer or heart failure. It addresses targeted relief for symptoms and complements curative treatments, helping to alleviate the stress of the illness for both patient and their family. Palliative care at home allows you to stay in the place you feel most comfortable, surrounded by memories and the people you love.

Live in Care

Our carers will come to live with you in your own home to provide around-the-clock assistance and support. This arrangement allows individuals who require continuous care and supervision to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes

Visiting Care

Our carers will visit service users in their own homes to provide specific assistance and support on a scheduled basis. Unlike live-in care where the carer resides with the service user full-time, visiting care involves carers travelling to the service user's home for designated periods.

Palliative Care , tailored to your needs

Palliative care plays a crucial role in improving the quality of life for individuals facing serious illnesses, focusing on pain management, symptom relief, and emotional support. Here are some key aspects and benefits of palliative care:

Pain Management

Palliative care aims to alleviate physical pain and manage distressing symptoms associated with serious illnesses, such as cancer, heart disease, respiratory disorders, or neurological conditions. We work closely with medical teams to develop personalised plans for symptom control and comfort.

Holistic Approach

Palliative care takes a holistic approach to address not only physical symptoms but also emotional, social, and spiritual needs. At Fond Healthcare, we consider the individual's overall well-being and quality of life, offering support to cope with the emotional and psychological impact of illness.
